John D. Males, founded Fathom with the intention of applying Deep Insight and Direct Results ® to client challenges. His passion is working with workshop participants to seed new thought, correct course and build winning teams. John’s focus helps clients increase employee effectiveness, lower turnover, build revenues and raise profit margins. His customers include the world’s most successful firms and recognized brands.

John spent more than a decade on the management team of Continental Airlines in sales, marketing and client relations, taking part in what is recognized as one of the most significant corporate turnarounds in American business history. Used in case studies worldwide for its exceptional business practices, Continental went from Worst to First, ranking on the Fortune 100 “Best Companies to Work for List.” John has spent more than 30 years managing residential real estate.  He founded a highly successful property management company in Texas that was acquired by a larger firm in 2001.

John is a graduate of Baylor University’s top ranking entrepreneurship and international business programs. He is a professional coach and received his training at the Coach Training Institute. John is a certified cultural diversity instructor and facilitator. He has a Diploma in Commercial Shipping Management from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy in the UK. John loves scuba diving, swimming and is passionate about exploring the sea. He enjoys sailing and boating worldwide and is a US Coast Guard licensed Master Captain at Fathom Yacht Charters. John serves in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
